Special Edition - Call for Submissions
Submissions are being accepted for the Special Issue of Biomolecules, an open-access journal by MDPI, now through July 31 2026. Our chief scientific officer, Eric B. Kmiec, and associate director of discovery research, Kelly Banas, are guest editors for this special issue, which promises to explore CRISPR gene editing at every stage of action, be it mechanistic or translational. Topics of interest include molecular insights of CRISPR/Cas systems in cancer-based models; novel approaches for altering the tumor microenvironment or disrupting oncogenic pathways; strategies for improving safety, efficiency, or precision of CRISPR/Cas systems for cancer therapy; and diagnostic applications of CRISPR technologies as tools for detection or molecular profiling.
