Dr. Taylor Campbell is a scientist in the Translational Research group at the Gene Editing Institute. Taylor received her PhD in 2024 from the University of Delaware. During her doctoral research, she took a targeted gene approach to study the epigenetic outcomes of early adversity and neonatal spinal cord injuries. She utilized exercise as a treatment mechanism to alter gene expression via dynamic changes in gene methylation in the central nervous system, with a goal of promoting neuroprotection and neuroplasticity. Taylor is passionate about the Gene Editing Institute's commitment to improving human health through innovative and evidence-based scientific discovery.
