Paula Furtado is the executive assistant to the Executive Director and Chief Scientific Officer, Eric Kmiec. In this role, she provides administrative support and facilitates the daily operations performance of the institute.
Prior to joining the Gene Editing Institute, she worked as a manager of practice operations within ChristianaCare, where she partnered with senior leadership in the daily management of operations, financial performance, and patient & caregiver experience. She was responsible for daily operations performance, hiring and onboarding processes, processes optimization and implementation of new services, monthly reporting, training and mentoring. She has been with ChristianaCare for over 25 years.
