Kristen is a staff scientist for the Gene Editing Institute. Her research focused on in-vitro targeting of NRF2 using lipid nano-particles. She is also a part of the Education and Outreach team, assisting in the continued development of CRISPR in a BoxTM, a product born out of her previous work on a National Science Foundation grant to further gene editing education for community college students.
She holds a bachelor's degree in applied molecular biology from the University of Delaware and three associates degrees from Delaware Tech. Her past work with the Gene Editing Institute includes being the lab coordinator and an education program coordinator within Gene Editing 360TM, the institute's educational programming division.
