Katelynn Owens, Ph.D., is a research scientist in the oncology group. Her research interests focus on developing animal models for pre-clinical and translational research. Katelynn joined the Gene Editing Institute after studying human genetics and connective tissue disorders at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute. She plans to investigate novel drug targets using CRISPR-directed gene editing to help cancer patients with solid tumors.
